Dating safely

Meeting new people is exciting. These habits help keep it safe.

Before you meet

• Keep chatting in Paire until you trust someone. Scammers push you to move to another app quickly.
• Never send money, gifts, OTPs, bank or card details, no matter the story.
• Don't share your home address, workplace or daily routine early on.

Meeting up

• Meet in a busy public place and arrange your own transport.
• Tell a friend where you're going and when. Paire's Safety Center lets you save and share your date plan and set a check-in reminder.
• Stay in control of your drinks and belongings, and leave whenever you feel uncomfortable.

If something feels wrong

• Block and report the member in the app. Reports are confidential.
• If Paire AI shows a warning on a message (for example about money or links), take it seriously: never send money, gift cards, OTPs or bank details to someone you haven't met.
• In an emergency in India, call 112. For women's safety, the Women Helpline is 181. For cyber fraud, call 1930 or visit cybercrime.gov.in.
